A trailblazer in business journalism and global affairs, Michelle Caruso-Cabrera is CEO of MCC Global Enterprises and a CNBC Contributor, known for translating complex global events into clear, actionable insight for leaders and decision-makers.

When Caruso-Cabrera began her career, Hispanic women were a rarity in business journalism. After starting as a producer at Univision, she joined CNBC at a time when the network — and the industry — was dominated by white men. Over more than 20 years at CNBC, she established herself as a trusted authority, becoming the network’s first Latina anchor and later serving as Chief International Correspondent and co-anchor of Power Lunch.

Throughout her career, Caruso-Cabrera reported from global hotspots including Iraq, Iran, Ukraine, Venezuela, and across Latin America, covering defining events such as the 2008 financial crisis, the Greek debt crisis, Brexit, U.S. elections, and Russia’s first invasion of Ukraine. Her expertise sits at the intersection of economics, policy, and politics, where she excels at explaining how global events translate into real-world market impact — particularly in her coverage of China as an economic competitor to the United States.

In 2018, Caruso-Cabrera stepped away from her full-time role at CNBC to pursue corporate governance, advisory work, and public service. She has served on multiple boards, including Wendy’s and Del Real Foods, and is President of the Board of Directors of Ballet Hispánico. She also ran for elected office in New York City, earning the highest Latino vote total citywide in the Democratic primary for comptroller.

Known for her plain-spoken, authoritative style, Caruso-Cabrera provides audiences with clear, incisive analysis of global markets, geopolitics, and leadership in times of uncertainty. A fierce advocate for women leaders and entrepreneurs, she draws from her experiences in journalism, politics, and the boardroom to inspire audiences to lead with confidence, resilience, and purpose.

In November, MPSF welcomes Michelle Caruso-Cabrera for an evening of sharp insight and global perspective. As a trusted voice in business journalism and international affairs, she brings clarity to the forces shaping today’s economy and geopolitical landscape. Subscribers will experience her signature ability to break down complex issues in real time—part of the live, in-theater MPSF experience that informs, engages, and sparks meaningful conversation.
