Now the largest community speaker series in the United States, averaging over 8,800 subscribers annually, our original (Peninsula) Series began in San Mateo, in response to the desire for stimulating, intellectual entertainment. The concept of bringing nationally recognized speakers to a local community was so successful that we've expanded to Marin and San Francisco (which ultimately moved into the beautiful and historic Oakland Paramount Theatre).
